I'm proud of this one.
Hello, my good friends,
As we enter the final quarter of the year, most of us are wondering how far we've come this year, what we've done, and what we can still do in the foreseeable future before a new year - a new resolution - kicks in!
Well, the good news is that it is never too late to start.
The not-so-good news: if you haven't done it yet, chances are you won't this time.
And the best news is that you can do whatever you set out to do to get it done.
I recommend two critical actions:
1. Set a clear goal
2. Have the discipline to stick to it.
As for the rest, go out there and do your best work day in and day out.
You can do anything!
I'm going to share with you a little hack that I've applied to my life - I don't want to get any creative credit for this hack because it's been around for a while and I've only recently started paying more attention to it.
It's hard to limit yourself to what you really want. In a world full of dopamine kicks, free and endless entertainment, instant gratification, and an unprecedented noise of information, it is admirable when you can have a clear vision of what you want in your life.
A few weeks ago I watched a YouTube short with Eliud Kapichogue - the running GOAT with multiple records and gold medals in the marathon distance - and during the interview, he was asked what is the secret to success (jesus, I hate that question so much!!!) and Eliud's answer was very simple and a trigger in the mind.
He said:
- "Rule number 1 is to get vitamin 'N'".
A follow-up question came in: Vitamin "N"?
- "N is learning to say "NO", that's how you get self-discipline".
And that's what I've been applying to my life and decisions lately!
I started with a very simple exercise: "What are the things I don't want in life?"
I came up with my own answers:
I don't want to have a hangover on Saturday morning and miss my long training session. [Action: Don’t drink too much on Fridays]
I don't want to work on projects that don't allow me to grow as a person, as a team member, as a leader, and as a professional. [Action: To set up a framework so that I can make a better assessment when new projects come in.]
I don't want a 9 to 5 job. [Action: Enjoy life as an entrepreneur.]
I do not want to be embarrassed when I have to give a lecture in Spanish. [Action: back to school and intensive classes!]
And the list goes on.
In general, making a list of things I don't want leads me to simplify what I do want and optimize my decision-making process.
I still have a long way to go, but I think maybe there's someone out there who's struggling to figure things out too, and this can be an important part of their solution.
🇧🇷 Amigos,

Scaling without product-market fit is like pouring water into a bucket with a massive hole. It will collapse. It’s only a matter of time.
Product-market fit as a concept has been around for a while. Marc Andreessen defines it as “being in a good market with a product that can satisfy the market”.The 4 types of professional time are as follows:

Great Pods and Videos
I recently made a post on Lindekin asking for recommendations for biographies, and received many good ones, but one stood out: Arnold Schwarzenegger
In the middle of a lot of great business, a friend had recommended the biography of "Hasta La Vista Baby" and Mr Olimpia. I was wondering what kind of views I was developing for my thought models by reading the same angle over and over again, and I think that by reading things that are out of my scope I am expanding my thought models and I can only benefit from that. Ok, fair enough, let's give Mr Comando a chance and read his book.
Let me tell you all this: I jumped in head first. The book is amazingly written, you can flow through pages of thought, but the secret source is the legend of Arnold. It's a real-life story - the true American dream, the land of the free and opportunity - and Arnold is at the centre of it (no spoilers, but being in the spotlight was his fuel).
I'm here to plead with you to give Arnold a chance and I promise you won't regret it.
In addition to this book recommendation, he has joined the Rich Roll podcast and he has a message for us all. It's worth listening to.
Thanks, Arnold. You are a true inspiration.
Arnold knew from an early age what he wanted in life: to be a champion and to be in the movies. Early on, he took control of his life, his vision and his actions. My former Navy Seal buddy Jocko has a message for all of us about being in control.
Atomic Habits is one of my top books and it clearly demonstrates that we can change if we have the right tools to get things done.

Top Business Pods - I highly recommend both of them:
I loved this one and it's perfect if you're a venture capitalist and founder of a vcable company. The guest is Phin Barnes, co-founder and managing partner of The General Partnership. Phin is an industry veteran and spent 11 years at First Round writing early-stage checks for some of today's biggest tech companies.
He is so down-to-earth and very transparent about the industry and how to approach the game. I recommend him to my friends at Verve Capital, Marcelo Franco and Gabriel Farme.Founder of Zapier, a company that's been playing its own game for over 10 years and created an entire industry. I loved the way the founder described their growth modus operandi.
I think it's great for B2B founders and the message is that a great solution in a great space will find its way if the timing is right. Also, yes, pay attention to playbooks and frameworks, but please, never ignore your instincts.
I recommend this to Felipe Vieira and Marcelo at Networkme and Bento at ClientBase - both companies killing it in their own space and under two great leaders in their own right.
Braulio, I miss you brother and we continue to work to build IMPACT.
