Hello boys and girls,
We are back! I took the last week off to focus on some things, plus my mum was in town and I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. It was great to spend some quality time with her and the kids.
This week we start with Mr Jobs, who is back in the news with a new book that reveals intimate details about his early life, the early days at Apple and much more. Even better, the book is free for people to enjoy.
Steve will always be a reference for most founders, builders, and explorers of the world.
The book is actually titled - Steve Jobs Archive - and I think it will be the kind of work that people will keep coming back to.
You can access the book here.

[Great for Coaching and Leadership] - What Mentors Wish Their Mentees Knew - Read it here.
I'm a big believer in the mentor-mentee relationship. I've seen first-hand the amazing positive impact it has on my personal and professional life. It's also part of my work with founders and leaders, and I'm always looking for ways to make an even bigger impact in my mentoring sessions.
[Great for leaders looking to build on their leadership skills] - The 6 Fundamental Skills Every Leader Should Practice - Read it here
A lot of my work these days is focused on leadership and building a set of frameworks that I can work on and better support the founders I work with. It's also a core part of my studies at Harvard.
Harvard Business Review and McKinsey have a huge archive on it and it's mostly free.[Get to know yourself so you can become a better leader and team member] - How High Achievers Overcome Their Anxiety - Read it here.
I have struggled with anxiety for most of my life and there is no sign of it going away any time soon. I think most people feel the same way and recognize anxiety as a negative part of their lives.
I think the solution lies in how you deal with it, which ranges from changing your habits to mindfulness techniques and much more.
[BONUS!]
Excellent material from Dr. Huberman's podcast with Lissa Epel, Ph.D., Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and author of the new book The Stress Prescription.
The episode discusses her work showing how stress affects mood, eating behavior, mental health, physical health, and ageing.
[Creators and you and me. I think this one is for everyone!] A New Approach to Building Your Personal Brand - Read it here.
"For better or worse, in today's world, everyone is a brand". - That's how the article begins, and I think it's very true.
The rise of the social media platform has given everyone a platform and the explosion of the creator economy. The Kardashians have made a multi-billion dollar empire out of a reality TV show - whether you like it or not, that's the world we live in. You have artists becoming entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs enjoying the celebrity lifestyle. So with the ability to connect with millions of people, you are no longer just Marcelo, you are a brand and you better know how to play the game!
I'm skeptical about the creator economy as I see a lot of it as super low-quality content, but it's undeniable that people are cashing in with their "attention" and community.

[That's an amazing story!!! ] “The obvious strategic alternative for us was Blockbuster. Which is why, just a few weeks later, you’d have found me, Reed, and our CFO Barry McCarthy sitting at a giant conference table on the 37th floor of the Blockbuster headquarters in Dallas, getting ready to pitch Blockbuster.
The pitch was simple. We would join forces with Blockbuster. We would run the online business. They would run the stores. We would jointly develop a blended model. And everyone would live happily ever after."Here’s how you can do a 6 month "MBA" on Product Management, from home, 1.5hr/day, without spending more than €1k, (with links, screw the algorithm).
