Hello everyone,
Another week and we are back together again.
- Dan, what happened to your newsletter last Friday?
- Hi Jane, I'm going to be doing some experiments over the next few weeks, so I'll be sending it out every Monday.
- Dan, tell me more. What's going on?
- There are two main reasons for sending it on Mondays. The first is that I want to force myself to work on Sundays, and since I'm very committed to sending this message to my friends every week, I've decided to work on it every Sunday so that I can post the results on Monday. I'm creating a must-do event for myself, which I hope will lead to more discipline and better work performance. Secondly, I'm happy with my engagement overall, but I still want to work out how I can get my friends to "share" this article with their inner circle so I can reach more people, and my thesis here is that by moving my newsletter to Monday, I'll impact people at the very beginning of their work week, not at the end when I do it on Fridays. What do I hope to achieve? I want to see if my engagement KPIs go up and if I end up reaching more people.
- Dan, good luck.
- Thanks, Jane. I hope you enjoy this week's content.
AI headlines
AI continues to storm into our lives - and social media feeds - and there is no sign of it stopping any time soon. (I read somewhere that AI has already created 17 unicorns).
If you're into high-quality social media content, there's a good chance you've seen this, and if you haven't, I think it's worth a look.
AI brings Bill Gates & Socrates together: A must-see dialogue on AI. An exclusive video of Bill Gates and the ancient philosopher Socrates discussing the potential of artificial intelligence. Don't miss this groundbreaking fusion of past wisdom and present innovation that will reshape our understanding of AI.
In this video you will witness a fascinating discussion between Socrates, the Greek philosopher considered one of the greatest thinkers in history, and Bill Gates, the American entrepreneur and founder of Microsoft, one of the most important companies in the world of technology.
Yuval is one of the most extraordinary thinkers of our time. His writings have influenced millions of people from all four corners of the globe, and he has gained immense popularity, mostly because he can translate very complex information into a very simple and easily digestible narrative.
Yuval has not shied away from the AI controversy and he has been in many media giving his perspective on it and how he is very concerned about the future of humanity.
In this keynote and Q&A, Yuval Noah Harari summarizes and speculates on 'AI and the future of humanity'. There are a number of questions related to this discussion, including: "In what ways will AI affect how we shape culture? What threat is posed to humanity when AI masters human intimacy? Is AI the end of human history? Will ordinary individuals be able to produce powerful AI tools of their own? How do we regulate AI?"

Leadership & more
I am now immersed in leadership theories, frameworks, and academic research. Leadership has been my main curiosity for a couple of years now, but recently it's taken up 90% of my focus and a lot of my productive hours.
I have done a lot of things in my professional life and it amazes me how I have denied myself such a relevant field, forever assuming that I loved leading and was good at it. Leadership is a very complex field and there is a huge literature on the subject and I'm fascinated to be exploring it with a close group of leaders. I'm not ready to announce it yet, but I'm working on a leadership project that I hope to launch in early July.
A caveat? A serial entrepreneur decides to teach young professionals about leadership and topics such as feedback, emotional intelligence, creative solutions, and growth mindset.
Let's explore the key takeaways from last week:

Bounties4.com - Access and manage the best tech developers in Brazil with Bounties4. I met the company a few months ago and I'm very impressed by the quality of the co-founders and how they are aware of the challenges, the need for validation through experimentation and the long-term vision to become the best platform for companies and professionals.
I believe that in the future (think about tomorrow) professionals will choose to work on projects that challenge them and give them the freedom to explore different things instead of running around in a single-track race, and that's what Bounties4 can do for professionals.
As a result of choosing what to work on, the professional flirts with the flow state (the challenge keeps the professional focused; therefore it triggers flow) and also task satisfaction. If you can choose what to work on, your satisfaction will undoubtedly increase - there are several studies that link satisfaction to increased performance.
